This Week/Last Week & Lent Tree

LENT/EASTER TREE
Pictured below is our Lent/Easter Tree. Right now, at the beginning of Lent, its branches are bare. During Lent, we will add leaves and flowers to it every day. Sometimes we will add them as part of an activity as we talk about different parts of our faith. But any time we are thankful for something we will add a flower and anytime we have someone we want to pray for we will add a leaf to our tree.

PENGUINS
This past week we began our unit on penguins. I must say it is one of my favorites and the children are enjoying it too. We have been reading many non-fiction books about penguins and charting what we learn. We are taking what we are learning and making our own penguin non-fiction book. We will be putting the finishing touches on our books this week and hopefully bring them home on Thursday.

Pictures to come soon!
